Up next is Tanner. I was so happy that it worked out to meet Tanner and his parents the night before our photoshoot. It’s really nice when I have the opportunity to talk about locations/outfits, answer questions, and get to know everyone before meeting for the session.

It was another beautiful summer evening for exploring Grand Forks. I had such a great time with Tanner and his parents. So fun and easy going. Tanner, too, was such a good sport and was willing to put up with me continuously saying “just one more, ok?”. I tend to do that a lot. Thank you to Tanner and his parents for a fun evening of picture taking!

Jordan | East Grand Forks Senior High Class of 2011

I had the honor of photographing several young men from the Class of 2011 at East Grand Forks Senior High. They were all terrific young men and their parents should be so proud of them.

First up was Jordan. I had a great time exploring the nooks and crannies of downtown Grand Forks with Jordan, his mom and his sister. He was a great sport and laughed at my dorkiness – always a plus in my book! It was especially fun to photograph his different sports jerseys. You could tell what an important part of his life sports are and how proud his Mom is of him for all his accomplishments. I wish him good luck in his upcoming football season and hope he has a terrific Senior Year! Enjoy! It will go fast!

Birthday Beauty

We celebrated Brian’s birthday at the lake last weekend. As we were getting ready to eat cake and open presents, I noticed a rainbow over the lake. It was amazingly close to us and you could see it going right down to the water. And then a second one appeared outside of it! Both were full rainbows and went from one end of the lake to the other. I don’t know that I’ve ever seen a rainbow so vibrant! It was simply stunning!

Spiral Bound Book

This is another new product that I just love! I put together this book with pictures I took of the girls over the 4th of July weekend. It is 5×5 and fits nicely in my purse to share with friends and family. Another great way to showcase pictures from a session and a great gift idea (terrific brag book for mom/dad and grandparents)! The cover and back are sturdy and can be customized and you can add as many pages as you’d like to the inside.

Accordion Albums

I love these mini accordion albums. Could be use for gifts to grandparents, senior year momentoes, birthday party invitations, thank you gifts – so many ideas! I created this one from pictures I took of Abby for her 15th birthday. I did color images on one side and black/white on the other. I love the way it turned out! One of the best features is that the cover and back are magnetic so it stays closed! Love it!

Riley, Tyler and their Mom and Dad

I mentioned a few posts back that I actually met Riley the day before her family’s session when she tagged along with her friend, Haleigh for her session. Having met Riley in advance really made the session a lot of fun. Things seem to just “click” that much faster when you already know a child’s personality and have built some trust with them. It was great to also meet her brother, Tyler, as well as her parents! It was a beautiful evening (like so many of the ones we’ve had this summer) and I really enjoyed walking around the park and our time together.

I cannot believe that I am down to my final three weeks of summer vacation! Where did the time go? Thank you to all the wonderful families that have scheduled with me this summer. I am so lucky and blessed!

As I plan for returning to work and my kids’ school and activity schedules, I am also definitely thinking about my Fall photo session schedule. I have already started booking into late September. I do limit my sessions (although I am the WORST at saying “no”!) in order to keep my sanity. But, I also know from the past few years, that the Fall is when many people start to think about Christmas cards and holiday pictures. That is why I’ve decided to add “mini sessions” to my available options. Pricing and details are included under the Investment tag on the blog. But, the number of mini sessions per month are also limited! I also like to plan ahead and know what to expect. That’s why I’m offering at 20% discount on products/prints/CDs (excludes session fee) for anyone who contacts me by July 31 to set up a session this Fall!

I also have some really cute products to share and hope to get those images up here by tomorrow – so be sure to check back!

And a quick look at a session that has sneak peeks coming up soon! I met Riley while photographing her friend, Haleigh (see below). I had no idea that she was a member of the family that was scheduled the very next day! It was terrific when she got out of the car and we’d already visited and taken a few pictures with Haleigh the day before!
